Creating Business Strategy is a core management function. Business Strategy is a long-term plan of action designed to achieve a particular goal or set of goals or objectives. It is different from vision, mission, goals, priorities, and plans. It is the result of choices executives make, on where to play and how to win, to maximize long-term value. Strategic Management is a systematic process of envisioning a desired future, and translating this vision into broadly defined goals or objectives and a sequence of steps to achieve them. Managers, as strategic leaders, are required to accomplish two conflicting objectives: maximize their company’s profits and conduct themselves in ethical manners. This course also addresses the organizational vision, mission and goals.
